Fri, 18 Dec 2009The Aston Martin DBS Carbon Black It’s been a little while since we had a limited edition from Aston Martin, and just like Land Rover where we got the Freelander 2 Sport and the Freelander 2 White & Black in two days, we;ve got a pair of new cars from Aston Martin together – The Aston Martin DBS Carbon Black and the Aston Martin V12 Vantage Carbon Black. I suppose if you’re Aston Martin and you’re looking for a way to move a few extra cars you may as well pick the two most powerful versions of your cars to have a go. Both Carbon Black Models get the same paint job; a hand painted effort which takes 50 hours to apply and quality check.
Jaguar to end XK production after 18 years
Fri, 07 Mar 2014Jaguar will this summer cease production of the XK 2+2 GT car after 18 years at the top of the Coventry firm’s model range. The decision to stop making the XK comes after the hugely successful launch of the F-Type – which, say analysts, has led to a big fall in XK sales as thousands of buyers queues up to buy the F-Type. Middlecott Sketchbattle Experiment contest pits auto designers against Detroit talent
Thu, 09 Jan 2014Local creative and design talent from outside and inside the car industry will go head-to-head in a multi-round competition for the title of Sketchmaster in the Middlecott Sketchbattle Experiment (MSBE). To be held at an underground afterparty for the Auto Show Charity Preview on 17 January at the Kunsthalle Museum in Detroit, the self-styled car design fight club will be attended by industry leaders, designers from Ford, GM, Chrysler, Toyota and Tier One suppliers. Car enthusiasts, artists and designers from around the globe will also be present.
