This is an original 1970s period brake lining gauge made by Bendix, part number 73846. This tool comes with the original box that is tattered and dirty and the instructions, which are also dirty but very readable. The tool is in excellent condition. The box tab has an identification number of SC-72 which very likely indicates a year of 1972. Buyer to pay shipping according to our listed policy.
Carsntiques shipping and handling policy
We, at Carsntiques, are committed to making each and every
Ebay transaction a positive experience.
We work hard to describe each item carefully and add adequate
pictures. We strive to answer questions
quickly and completely. We then take
special pride in packaging carefully and tightly within the container in order
to minimize chances for damage during shipping.
Based on past experience, we do not encourage the use of USPS parcel
post shipping, but do often leave it as an option as a cost saving, but at the
buyer’s risk. Buyers are responsible for
adding insurance and we recommend such for fragile items. Please note that when we list an item, we
include a weight estimate so you can have an approximate cost of shipping prior
to bidding. But we would recommend that,
after winning one of our auctions, you wait with payment until we package the
item and then send an invoice. We try to
estimate the boxed weight accurately but sometimes the final weight will differ
some, hopefully to your benefit.
Sometimes we find that another service will save money, such as using
FedEx ground instead of USPS. We reserve
the right to make such a change to the shipping provider in these
instances. Ebay’s shipping calculators are
not always accurate as well as we have seen where Ebay has greatly inflated the
shipping in the listing for the weight we enter. We do feel, however, that quality packaging
is more important than saving a few pennies.
Thus, because of the cost of quality packaging, we reserve the right to
add $1.00 to the shipping amount to cover the cost of tape, boxes, packing
materials, and labels. Check our
feedback – we get great reviews on our pride in packaging. Items sold to customers in Nebraska are
subject to 7% sales tax.
Note: If you have a
problem with anything (product quality, packaging, etc.) please contact us and
allow us to correct the problem. We will
most likely ask you to file a claim through Ebay and, if we did miss something
(we are only human), we will most likely either have the item shipped back or
offer a refund. We do NOT knowingly list
damaged or items that are not working without telling you about any
defects. We try to closely inspect all
items and take pictures of any damage.
Occasionally, however, we do miss something and will absolutely address
that in a reasonable manner.
Thanks for your interest in our auctions. We value your business. Bob & Dottie

A trio of Range Rover Hybrid s (pictured) on the Silk Trail
The new Range Rover Hybrid (and the Range Rover Sport Hybrid too) are heading for a reveal at the Frankfurt Motor Show in a week or so, but they’re not quite ready for showrooms yet. Land Rover are still busy doing the final shakedown of the hybrid powerplant and have decided the best way is a high profile jaunt from Land Rover in Solihull to Mumbai in India following the ancient Silk Trail route to test the robustness of their new hybrid. So they garnered a trio of Range Rover hybrids – and support vehicles – enlisted a team consisting of Land Rover development engineers and motoring media from 10 countries, and set off from Solihull on 22nd August on the almost 10,000 mile expedition.

Jeremy, Tesla and Lotus
Just over two years ago Top Gear took a Tesla Roadster to Dunsfold and played. And Tesla got the arse because Top Gear ‘staged’ the Tesla running out of juice. Jeremy Clarkson subsequently defended what they did – pushing the Tesla in to a garage – to demonstrate the biggest drawbacks of an electric car, like lousy range and refuelling measured in hours rather than minutes.

-- Ayrton Senna positively dominated the 1990 Monaco Grand Prix: he came in with the fastest qualifying lap, started on pole, set the fastest lap, led every single one of them, won the thing, beating rival Alain Prost in the process, then went on to win the 1990 World Championship. The above video was what it's like to ride onboard with the brilliant Brazilian in his McLaren-Honda, which screams like a madman down the Monaco tunnel. -- Five Citro
