Vintage, brass hand operated bilge pump, signed "WC" Wilcox Crittenden. 17 1/2"L, and extends to 32"L. Wt. 3lbs. 2ozs. Nice original patina on brass. Smooth wood handle, maintains some of it's original dark blue finish. The screen is slightly pushed in, and one of the five tabs, at the same end, is slightly pushed down, (see last photo). Fri, 20 May 2011When I got the keys to our long-term 2011 Mazda 5 last week, they came with a surprise--this aluminum-and-brass keychain in the shape of a rotary-engine housing, complete with moving rotor. The rotor doesn't just rattle around or spin in a circle. Thanks to a thumbwheel on the back of the housing, coupled with a timing gear and offset crank journal, the thing actually moves in an approximation of epitrochoidal motion just like a real Wankel.

Nissan Leaf owner arrested for stealing electricity
Thu, 05 Dec 2013File this under a problem we’ll see more of in the future: An Atlanta Nissan Leaf owner was arrested for stealing five, count ‘em, five cents-worth of electricity from his child’s middle school last month, according to NBC 11 Alive. Kaveh Kamooneh was at Chamblee Middle School where his son was playing tennis. Kamooneh saw the open outlet and figured he’d grab a few electrons while he watched the game.
