“Brooklands” type windshields. No manufacturer name on frames but appear to be mid-1930s. Possibly originally used on a wooden boat because of varnish found on frame. I installed safety glass using original glass as template and used them on an early MG but am now bringing the MG back to stock.

Volkswagen is rolling out a new 1.8-liter turbocharged and direct-injected TSI engine which will debut in the Jetta, Beetle, and Passat later this year. This thrifty new engine will replace the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine now available in those models. But the 1.8-liter is no slouch: it produces the same 170 hp as the outgoing five-cylinder engine, while adding 7 lb-ft torque for a total of 184.

On the same day that Ford has revealed the new Mustang, Chevrolet has announced a new Corvette in a cheeky bid by one iconic American sports car to deflect attention away from another. Unlike the Mustang it’s not an all-new model, but instead a harder, faster, more track-focused variant of the Corvette, the new Z06.
