This is the new Audi R18, Ingolstadt’s latest LMP1 endurance racer which will compete in the 2011 Le Mans 24 Hours. Compared to its R15 predecessor, the new Audi R18 has gained a roof and the mandatory-for-2011 ‘shark fin’ engine cover, but it’s lost four cylinders – the R18 is powered by a turbocharged V6. Obviously spurred on by the unexpected success in recent years of that other motoring retro icon the MINI, Fiat are pushing ahead with plans to introduce the regular Fiat 500 in to North America in 2010, although that will be preceded by the 500 Abarth and 500C Abarth, which will be the first versions of the 500 to reach American shores.

NASCAR: Kurt Busch claims Nationwide win at Watkins Glen

From start to finish, Saturday afternoon's NASCAR Nationwide Series Zippo 201 at Watkins Glen International was all Busch, all the time. Older brother Kurt won the pole and younger brother Kyle started second and led the most laps. But Kurt won when Kyle gave up the lead with a late-race, green-flag stop for fuel.
