Ebay really doesn't make it very clear to buyers as they don't explain that anything less than a 5-star DSR rating on a transaction will lower a seller's visibility on Ebay and it will increase their Ebay fees as well. Although the feedback page clearly states that 4 stars is for good service, you just have to do the math and find out it is NOT good for your favorite (hard working) sellers! Sellers are required to have a 4.8 DSR in every category. Therefore if you leave a seller a 4, you are going to lower that 4.8 score and it's considered a failure...Even though they might have 100% feedback. Ebay can start taking the money that our buyers pay us and holding it for weeks or worse tell us we can't sell anymore because of low feedback scores OR for people filing cases against us. People who have a problem with an item need to know that it's always best to contact the seller. If your issue still goes unresolved then file a complaint with Ebay.
