“A vintage Guide rear view mirror. This is a roof mount. Numbers on mount are 432063 492 478 P344. Mirror is 7" long x 2-3/4" tall. Mounting bracket is 3-1/2" tall. Has day/night adjuster. Mirror shows signs of age with pitting and spidering. Chrome also has pitting, scuffs and scratches. Stainless mirror head and die cast mounting bracket. See photos.”

Hyundai heading for more dual clutch gearboxes instead of CVT

Hyundai are planning to offer more dual clutch gearboxes in their cars rather than going the CVT route. There’s an argument that somehow CVT gearboxes offer better fuel economy than an automated dual clutch ‘box, even though logic says otherwise. Toyota insist on using a CVT ‘box on their hybrid cars when they’d feel much better to drive with an auto or dual clutch ‘box.

GM begins clearance sale for Hummer

General Motors is shutting down the Hummer brand for good, taking the last of its four discarded U.S. brands off the market. GM had said it would consider offers to buy Hummer after a deal to sell the brand to Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery failed to receive Chinese government approval in February.
