Vintage Hall Scott Aluminum Engine Block Hand Hole Block Off Plate on 2040-parts.com

This is a rectangular plate that came off the side of a Hall Scott engine. It's purpose was to allow you to access the connecting rod shims. I don't know what specific model engine it came off, but if yours is missing one, I'm sure you know if it is the one you need. Other than that, it would make a nice wall hanging for the well equipped man-cave.

The three reviews were of the Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes S55 AMG and Ford Focus SVT, all from 2004.
Ford's automotive assembly line celebrates 100th anniversary
Wed, 09 Oct 2013A mere century ago, on Oct. 7, 1913, Henry Ford rigged up a rope tow to get Model T chassis across the floor of his Highland Park assembly plant -- essentially winching cars across the factory floor and adding a set schedule of parts at certain intervals. The implementation may have been a bit primitive, but Ford was on the cusp something big: applying the concepts of the moving assembly line to the complicated, costly process of automobile production.
F1 goes all arty with oil: Lewis Hamilton portrait
Mon, 08 Jun 2009By Peter Adams Motoring Issues 08 June 2009 14:00 It’s not often that the motoring world slickly merges with art, but Mobil 1 has made it happen. US artist David Macaluso has painted a portrait of Lewis Hamilton using oil not from a tube of paint, but from the sump of Hamilton’s F1 car. The oil was taken from Vodafone McLaren Mercedes’ 2008 F1 car – the vehicle that took Hamilton to the world championship last year.
