Recently acquired several different vintage helmets and am listing them all for sale here on Ebay. This helmet is probably the roughest of them all. I was not able to find the name of the maker on it anywhere. The only tag I see on it is one inside that just says AMA approved and has some patent numbers. Then on the back snap of the helmet the letters A.S.E.-A appear. I am thinking that someone added the orange stripes and that possibly there are other decals or markings underneath...but not sure...just a guess. I assume that there was foam under the cloth, but it has all deteriorated from age. The cloth is still there and decent, the straps are in good shape and the visor is nice as well. There are obviously lots of nicks and scraps to the helmet, as my pictures clearly show. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions prior to bidding.

Bellissima! Exotic Italian cars hit Brooklands

Tue, 06 May 2014

We were blessed with brilliant weather over the first May bank holiday weekend of 2014, and what better way to celebrate the onset of summer than with a celebration of stunning motor cars? That’s exactly what happened at the home of British motorsport, Brooklands, with thousands of Italian vehicle owners turning up to Auto Italia magazine’s Italian car day at the famous location. From Fiat 500s to Ferrari F50s, this gathering of iconic Italian metal had it all.

Poll: Would you buy a Hyundai i20?

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

Last week we asked you if you'd be interested in a Nissan Micra, which is built in Mexico and is available in Canada and dozens of other countries, but not in the U.S. A substantial majority of our readers, 77 percent, voted that they would be interested in buying the $9,100 Micra if it was sold in America, a slightly lower percentage than for most of our past foreign-vehicle polls (which were all quite different, it should be noted). The Micra essentially offers the same engine and almost the same amount of interior space as the Nissan Versa Note at 2/3 the price of a stateside Note, which is already considered to be about as spartan as it gets despite a $14,780 price tag.

Crash test verdict on Corsa and S-Max

Fri, 25 Aug 2006

By Phil McNamara Motor Industry 25 August 2006 00:01 The new Vauxhall Corsa – set to be one of Britain's best-selling cars – has scored a maximum five stars for occupant safety, in the Euro NCAP crash tests. Ford's new S-Max also got full marks. But their pedestrian protection scores proved far less impressive, when the results of the latest tests were announced today (Friday 25).
