Interesting pieces here. A pair of vintage Hub O Matic wheel balancing weights. Bolt pattern measure 4 1/4" (4 1/2" pattern) and would fit most Ford, Mopar, Studebaker, AMC vehicles with this pattern. I have no idea if they ever worked, but would make a great conversation piece for your shop. They are a little rusty, pitted, nicked up and dirty, but still quite cool. Look close. Nissan Qashqai steering wheel falls off: Recall
Sat, 15 Sep 2012Nissan are recalling a number of Qashqai, Qashqai+2 and NV200 vans in the UK after the steering wheel fell of a Qashqai in Finland. As problems with cars go, having the steering wheel fall off in your hands is not one you need to be a mechanic to diagnose. That’s exactly what happened to a Nissan Qashqai driver in Finland who found his steering wheel had parted company with the steering column when he was parking his car.
Audi dealers ‘told lies’ about safety ratings
Wed, 14 May 2014Audi A BBC investigation has found that Audi dealers lied about the safety ratings of some of the German brand’s models. The Watchdog programme sent undercover researchers into a number of dealers to ask about EuroNCAP ratings. 90% of staff lied about the Audi A5’s crash rating They found that nine out of 10 said that the Audi A5 had been rated by NCAP, with six out of 10 saying it had been awarded a maximum five stars in the crash tests.
