Vintage R.c. Allen Model #rca11a-8 Indicator Directional Gyro Aviation Parts on 2040-parts.com
Wallingford, Pennsylvania, US
Up for auction is a vintage RC Allen Instruments Indicator Directional Gyro, model # RCA11A-8 Input 4.5 Inch Hg recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia, PA area. It is found in what appears as good used condition. I have no way to test such a item so it is offered "as found", without any warranty. It carries a February 12, 1997 date stamped on the side. The only condition issue to discus is that there appears to be moisture under the glass. An unusual collectible. Please see the other fine antiques and collectibles we offer for sale or in auction form. Discounted shipping rates with multiple purchases sent in the same package. Will ship less internationally to Canada. Best of luck in bidding.

Drayson Racing aiming for Electric car World Land Speed Record
Thu, 30 May 2013The Drayson B12 69/EV – heading to RAF Elvington to break the EV land speed record. One of the best uses for electric car technology is to deliver copious amounts of instant torque for track cars – far more than an ICE engine manages – and Drayson Racing Technology is aiming to prove how much that electric power can help by taking its Drayson B12 69/EV to RAF Elvington on 25th June to attempt to break the land speed record for an EV. That record – 175mph – has stood since 1975 (which probably shows how little EV technology has really moved on in the last 40 years), but the low-drag version of the Drayson electric Le Mans prototype is aiming to break that down the 1.86 mile runway at Elvington.

We never got the Mk1, but Renault has this time engineered the Twingo for right-hand drive. And that’s a good job too, with a Renaultsport version – packing as much as 150bhp – in the pipeline.
