Features

Overview: The 9756V 2-way Remote System comes with a 5-button, 2-way LCD remote transmitter (7756V), a 5-button, 1-way remote transmitter (7656V), and a low-profile control center/valet button/LED. The system can be integrated into an existing Viper security system, remote start, or keyless entry system. The remotes have a range of up to 1 mile.

2-way Operation: The 9756V is a 2-way remote system, which means that commands can travel wirelessly from the remote transmitter to the Control Center, and ultimately to the security/remote start system's control module. In a 2-way system, confirmation responses are also received by the LCD remote, indicated by LCD icons, vibrations, and beeps. The 1-way remote does not confirm commands from the Control Center.

5-Button Operation: Both transmitters have 5 buttons with the following configuration (depending upon the capabilities of your system):

  • Arm/Lock: Arms your security system, or locks your car with the push of a button.
  • Disarm/Unlock: Disarms your security system, or unlocks your car with the push of a button.
  • Remote Start: Starts your car's engine and warms up your car.
  • Auxiliary: Opens your trunk and controls other optional functions.
  • Function: Accesses dozens of functions.

Remote Batteries: The 7756V LCD remote is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery. The supplied USB charging cable allows you to charge the remote from a USB charging port or from your computer. The 7656V remote is powered by user-replaceable CR2032 battery.

Antenna/Receiver: Included with the 9756V 2-way LCD Remote System is a low-profile Control Center with a valet button and a bright blue status LED. Typically, the Control Center is mounted high and centered on the windshield. You can mount it either vertically or horizontally. A 10' cable is included for wiring the Control Center to the control module of the security/remote start system. An adapter cable is also included for control modules with 4-pin control center ports. Dimensions: W: 1.228", H: 2.561", D: 0.383"

Euro NCAP finds quadricycles had “severe safety problems”

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

Euro NCAP has branched out from cars and crash tested a small selection of “heavy quadricycles”  – small, four-wheeled vehicles that were originally developed from motorcycles that are sometimes also known as microcars, and don’t come under the usual car regulations. Although legal for use on the road, these machines do not need to achieve the same rigorous crash test safety standards as ordinary cars. But they are increasingly seen as a fuel-efficient urban transportation alternative, and some of them can be driven teenagers as young as 16.
