Weird car show celebrates humdrum 'classics'

CAN THE ordinary ultimately become cool? There was one group of left-field car enthusiasts at the weekend whose answer is an emphatic ‘yes’. Close to the Silverstone Classic event, where thousands of rare and desirable cars strutted their stuff for the big crowds, another event was being hosted to celebrate some of the most ordinary cars ever made.

2013 Ford Fusion Energi gets range of 620 miles

The hybrid wars continue -- much less exciting than the MyFord Touch -- after the Detroit auto show, and Ford has thrown it latest punch: the 2013 Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid. The Energi is the Blue Oval's fifth electrified vehicle to launch in the past year, and will arrive with a total gas and electric range of 620 miles. That's 120 miles more than the 2014 Honda Accord hybrid and 80 miles more than the Prius hybrid.

SEAT Leon FR+ Supercopa SEAT UK has launched a special edition Leon – the SEAT Leon FR+ Supercopa - with a new sporty look and extra features. Last year we got the SEAT Leon FR+ bolted on to the Leon range in the UK as a top of the range Leon aimed at extracting a bit more from Leon customers, 25 per cent of whom were already opting for the previous range topper, the Leon FR. That plan obviously worked as SEAT has now added yet another model above the FR+ in the guise of the FR+ Supercopa which offer a special edition styling kit for a sportier look.
