Peugeot designers showcase 208's attributes

Peugeot's all-new 208, which will replace the 207 in the Spring of next year, is an important car for the French firm. With a more dynamic design than its forebear, the new 208 is both lighter and smaller than its predecessor, aiming to embody ‘the principles of agility and efficiency', Peugeot claims. Elio three-wheel prototype revealed

Elio Motors unveiled a prototype of its two-passenger, three-wheeled vehicle Wednesday, confirming the all-new vehicle will have a $6,800 base price when it goes on sale in June 2014. Paul Elio, company founder and CEO, said the vehicle is targeted at first-time or cash-strapped buyers, as well as for families who already have a family car and are seeking something inexpensive for daily commuting. Its sub $7,000-base price makes it almost half the price of the cheapest car in the U.S.

Government Unveils New Plan To Manage Major Roads

ALONGSIDE charges for plastic bags, the Queen’s Speech also contained legislation that will change the way England’s motorways and major A-roads are managed. As part of the Infrastructure Bill, the changes will see the current Highways Agency (HA) transformed into a Government-owned company. Behind the move is a desire by the Government to save taxpayers at least £2.6 billion over the next 10 years.
