Citroën has revealed its new Cactus concept, designed to preview the future of the carmaker's C-line. The Cactus concept is the result of a program that began with the debut of the C-Cactus concept at the 2007 Frankfurt motor show. The C-Cactus was designed to find out what motorists expect from cars and which equipment and features are considered the most important.

Guinness returns fastest production car world record to Bugatti

The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is back as the “Fastest Production Car” after Guinness World Records looked deeper into the claim, and decided that Bugatti's eliminating the speed limiter in order to set a record did not bar the vehicle from holding the title. “The focus of the review was with respect to what may constitute a modification to a car's standard specification,” said Guinness in a statement. “Having evaluated all the necessary information, Guinness World Records is now satisfied that a change to the speed limiter does not alter the fundamental design of the car or its engine.” Now the company owns both the open- and closed-top speed records with the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and the Veyron Super Sport.

CELEBRITY heart-throbs such as George Clooney and Cheryl Cole have come second-best in a recent survey of drivers who were asked for their perfect partner on a long road trip. Six out of 10 drivers in the UK said they would choose their regular partner, whether that person is their husband, wife, friend or workmate, 61% of drivers asked said they would prefer their usual driving buddy to George Clooney or Cheryl Cole. Surprisingly, 11% of drivers surveyed by Halfords said they would be happiest with just a satellite navigation system for company on a long road trip.
