Mon, 10 Dec 2012Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann has confirmed a new Lamborghini to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary in 2013. A Lamborghini Hypercar? It’s fifty years since Lamborghini first started to build cars, and 2013 sees the Lamborghini 50th Anniversary Grand Tour when Lamborghinis from around the world will congregate in Sant’Agata to drive 1200km of Italy’s roads in what is expected to be the biggest gathering of Lamborghinis ever (as long as enough owners are prepared to part with €5500 to take part).
2015 Mercedes CLS and CLS Shooting Brake (minor) facelift revealed
Wed, 18 Jun 2014The 2015 Mercedes CLS and CLS Shooting Brake (pictured) get a small facelift The Mercedes tease for the 2015 facelift of the CLS and CLS Shooting Brake focused firmly on the new Multibeam LED headlights. But that’s because they’re about the most significant changes Mercedes has wrought to its four-door swoopy coupe. Frankly, there’s not a huge number of cosmetic changes to mark out the 2015 CLS from the 2014 model save for a mildly re-worked front bumper and grill and those new Multibeam LED headlights – standard across the new CLS range.
Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 vs G63 AMG (video)
Sun, 24 Nov 2013Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 vs G63 AMG The Mercedes G 63 AMG is a mad car in its own right (although not as mad as the G 65) and costs almost £125k before you start ticking any option boxes. But the G 63 AMG is bullet proof, will go anywhere and does come with many of the luxuries you’d rightfully expect in a £125k car, even if its on-road handling – particularly if you decide to make the most of the 5.5 litre V8 turbo’s performance – is pretty woeful round the bends. Mad and irrational though the G 63 may be, it now has an even madder sibling – the Mercedes G 63 AMG 6×6 – which not only adds an extra axle for 6WD but comes at a price – almost £400k – that makes the G 63 seem a bargain.
