Top Gear has produced a ’50 Years of James Bond Cars’ special – presented by Richard Hammond – which airs at the end of October. What do you get if you take two of the most successful franchises the UK has ever produced – Top Gear and James Bond – and stitch them together? That’s right, a Top Gear Special on 50 years of Bond cars.

National Motorists Association says get out of the way

This is a no-brainer to AutoWeek readers, but the National Motorists Association has launched a publicity campaign urging drivers to not block the left lane and cause traffic problems. The group has named June "Lane Courtesy Month," which coincides with higher traffic volumes for the summer. The group says a driver is lane-courteous when he or she is keeping clear of the left lane unless passing slower-moving vehicles, then moving back into the right lane as soon as possible.

Consumer Reports: No to Chevrolet SUV, Ford crossovers, MyFord Touch

Consumer Reports said Monday it will not recommend the Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX crossovers because of low scores in the magazine's tests, and panned Ford Motor Co.'s MyFord Touch and MyLincoln Touch technology. The magazine also said it will not recommend the Infiniti QX56, a V8 version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Porsche Cayenne. Those SUVs performed well in testing but were too new for the magazine to have adequate reliability data to recommend, it said.
