Saab sees another production hiccup
Wed, 08 Jun 2011Saab, trying to recover from a production shutdown for most of April and May, hit another snag on Tuesday as the company said it had to halt production again because of a supply disruption. The latest issue is expected to be resolved on Wednesday, the company said. "We will start tomorrow again," Saab spokesman Eric Geers said on Tuesday.

Changes to the XK for 2012 are pretty much as we predicted, although not quite as close to the Jaguar XKR-S as we’d thought likely. The main change on the nose is the arrival of the new headlights we saw on the XKR-S with integrated LED running lights.
Toyota to unlock secrets of black-box recorders
Thu, 25 Feb 2010Reacting to criticism that data from black-box crash recorders in its vehicles can be accessed only by the company, Toyota Motor Corp. is moving to ship hundreds of data-decoding machines to the United States and make them commercially available to help diagnose vehicle problems. The devices, known as event data recorders, are similar to the black boxes on airliners and record information such as vehicle and engine speed in the seconds before a crash.
