Exclusively from Summit Engineering! New VW 3" Shifter extension. Extensions are used to raises the gear shift knob to provide a better arm angle for more precise and comfortable shifting. Longer shift levers are commonly use with body lifts and in race applications where every shift matters. Simple to install just remove the knob and thread on the extension then reinstall the knob. Fits most all VW Bugs, Beetles, Ghias and buses Type 1, 2, and 3. With the lack of standardazation with VW's, it's the buyers responsibility to check correct thread size before ordering. Remove the knob and check with a bolt from home depot. This extension has 12MMx1.5 threads. If you need another thread size, we have may other sizes in stock. VW recalls 2014 vehicles for oil-cooler issue
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Volkswagen notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently of an issue affecting the automatic transmission oil cooler in certain 2014 models. The recall has affected 26,452 vehicles overall, including the 2014 model year Passat, Jetta, Beetle and Beetle convertible, made between Feb. 1, 2014 and April 6, 2014.
Future products: Land Rover will get hybrids, smaller vehicles
Thu, 02 Sep 2010New owner Tata Motors promises that Land Rover will add smaller vehicles and hybrid powerplants, but it hasn't said much about the timing. Land Rover will continue to share components with Jaguar, which is also under Tata ownership. Land Rover already uses Jaguar's 5.0-liter V8 engine in all but one of its vehicles.

Its S5S Raptor is around the same size as a Ferrari 430, and should be close to the same price, but boasts 175bhp more. It’s powered by a Saleen-built supercharged 6.0-litre V8, that will run on ethanol (like an increasing number of race cars).
