HPA's cat-backs are CAD design optimized for flow and back pressure, then tested on a rolling road simulator. Each system is constructed with only the best materials. Stainless steel three inch mandrel bent tubing optimizes flow while the integrated mechanical bypass valve opening under WOT, reduces system back pressure. This is the HPA advantage. The sudden drop in back pressure under acceleration enables the turbo to spin more freely which in turn, reduces turbine EGT's. The lower exhaust manifold temps allow your ECU to maximize its ignition map. More ignition equals more power. The rear mufflers function only to dampen the exhaust noise for a pleasurable cabin experience while commuting in day-to-day traffic. Production of Peugeot iOn and Citroen C-Zero EVs halted
Sat, 11 Aug 2012Production of the Peugeot iOn and Citroen C-Zero – both the Mitsubishi i-MiEV under the skin – has been halted by Mitsubishi. The Peugeot iOn EV arrived at the Frankfurt Motor Show three years ago and the Citroen C-Zero EV arrived a few months later, heralding PSA’s arrival in the EV market with a car based on the Mitsubishi i-MiEV. But the prices were frankly horrible at £33,155, more than four times what you’d have to pay for a Citroen C1 or a Peugeot 107 with the 1.0 litre petrol engine.
Lexus LFA Nurburgring (2010) first official pictures
Mon, 29 Mar 2010Lexus hasn’t even started production of the LFA supercar yet, but it’s already unveiled a limited edition version – the Lexus LFA Nurburgring. Built to celebrate the LFA’s entry into the 2010 Nurburgring 24 Hours race, just 50 versions of this track-focussed supercar will be made. The tweaks and changes aren’t radical: the front-mounted 4.8-litre V10 has 10 bhp more (up to 562bhp) and the automated manual ‘box now shifts quicker (gear changes are down from 0.2 to 0.15 seconds) though the 3.7sec 0-62mph time and 202mph top speed remain the same.

So why not get in first? That seems to be Mercedes thinking with the video they’ve produced of the E63 AMG strutting its stuff at a soaking wet Brooklands track.
