Cadillac at the Paris motor show 2008
Thu, 02 Oct 2008By Guy Bird Motor Shows 02 October 2008 11:53 The new CTS Sport Wagon took pride of place on Cadillac’s Paris show. After a strong reception at the elite Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach, California in August 2008, the European unveil was the first time most of us have been able to get up close and personal with the large estate. The load-lugging version of the CTS keeps the same well received front-end looks and genuinely quality interior feel of the saloon but adds a pleasing and distinctively angular rear end and side profile.

The concept has been developed around the theme of ‘dynamic performance', with Audi lowering its body by around 25mm as well as widening it with sharp detailing in an attempt to explore the potential of the Q3 model series. The concept's single frame grille is bordered by brushed and polished aluminum trim, while the black grille insert features honeycombs that are slightly offset to each other deeper inside to create a 3D effect.

Thu, 17 May 2007By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 17 May 2007 09:38 Chrysler has been sold. In one of the biggest private equity deals seen in the automotive industry, Cerberus Capital Management has purchased 80.1% of Chrysler in a £3.76billion deal, leaving DaimlerChrysler with the remaining 19.9% stake in the loss-making company. The move marks the close of arguably the most high-profile transatlantic merger and shuts the door on Canadian car assembly giant Magna and billionaire Kirk Kerkorian, who last month offered £2.27billion for Chrysler.
