College Exhibition: Pforzheim University Spring Show 2007
Mon, 26 Mar 2007Transportation Design students at Germany's Pforzheim University displayed their work in the school's spring Transportation Design degree show in February, one of the two graduation shows per year. The exhibition included work from graduating Diploma and Masters students, projects by the 5th and 7th semester students, as well as work from students in the earlier stages of the Diploma and Masters courses. Projects by the graduating Diploma students (four year course) included: Structure Driven - A modern automotive sculpture Sebastian Kroes 'Structure Driven' combines a new structural vehicle architecture with a pure driving experience, and presents new solutions for weight-reduction and driving systems.
Volvo 13-liter liquefied-natural-gas engine announced for North America
Mon, 21 May 2012It comes as no surprise that, with rising fuel costs, companies are continuing their efforts to increase efficiency. Volvo Trucks, for its part, plans to launch a 13-liter liquefied-natural-gas engine for North America in 2014 and is set to develop a new form natural-gas fuel called DME, or dimethyl ether. Volvo looks to add the liquefied-natural-gas option to complement its compressed-natural-gas (CNG) offerings.
Peugeot RCZ Hybrid looks certain
Mon, 14 Sep 2009Peugeot seems certain to put the RCZ Hybrid in to production And that ‘Yeah, right’ has now turned in to a ‘Who are you kidding?’ after Peugeot released information today on the RCZ Hybrid4 that frankly wouldn’t warrant doing unless they were already set on a production model. Not more information than we had a couple of weeks ago, but why bother with a new press release on the Hybrid RCZ when you’d already covered it? Unless you want more coverage because you’re going to make it, that is.
