The MRT Story...... From the NSW State Rallysprint title in 1988, MRT won the Canberra International Rally, 1300cc class, 4 years in a row. We (MRT) then ran the highly successful Daihatsu factory team, winning numerous Australian Manufacturers Championship's plus the Formula 2 Championship in 1993 and 1994. In the same year MRT were contracted to prepare two Charades for the factory in Japan - a major coup for a team of our size - but in reality an acknowledgement that our 'hands on' approach put us in a better position than the overseas manufacturer to extract maximum performance and reliability from the cars in our harsh Australian climate and road conditions.
