MINI Superleggera Vision concept unveiled

Doesn’t this look pretty special? It’s the MINI Superleggera Vision concept – a modern interpretation of the classic open-top two-seater created by MINI and Italian design house Touring Superleggera. It was unveiled on the shores of Lake Como at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2014 and is purely a concept car for now, but it could well influence future members of an expanded MINI family.

Designed as an American take on the Mercedes S-class coupe format, the Elmiraj stands 5.2m long and seats four passengers in an opulent cabin.The car also sports Cadillac’s new ‘V Sport’ moniker, which will feature across the Cadillac range soon, copying the success of BMW’s M Sport models, and Audi S-line cars. Jaguar to sculpt C-X16 clay model live in London

Jaguar is set to send a team of its clay modelers out to Clerkenwell Design Week to work on a full-size model of its C-X16 concept car in a display of the skills involved in sculpting and vehicle design. Julian Thomson, Advanced Design Director, Jaguar, said: "Jaguar is one of the most technologically advanced companies in the field of product development but we still believe in the sense of artistry. "Emotional connections are at the heart of our vehicles and the traditional process of working with clay with some of the best sculptors in the world allows us to refine them into the purest surfaces," he added.
