The Forged Dynalites are the strongest calipers in their class. The process of stress-flow forging realigns the metal's grain structure within the contour of the caliper body. This process eliminates the breaks and interruptions to the internal grain structure that occur when machining a straight block billet. Their FEA-generated radial transition design eliminates steps and shoulders in the area between the piston housing body and the caliper bridges. Incorporating a radius in this transition area substantially increases deflection resistance and separation under load. Structural deflection and volume displacement tests have proven that the forged Dynalites outperform all existing styles of this popular caliper size. Without even considering the overall greater strength and reliability of the forging, the reduced deflection tendencies and the resulting decrease in fluid volume displacement translate into increased clamping efficiency with less pedal travel. The bottom line is a taller pedal and better stopping power. These Forged Dynalite calipers are direct replacements for all Wilwood Dynalite and similar competitive brand calipers with 5.25 in. centered mounting lugs. The forged Dynalites use the same 7112-type brake pads used in all earlier versions of these calipers.

Peter Murphy and Walter Gropius walk into Geneva's Palexpo, look at the new Audi TT and proclaim, "This ain't a return to Bauhaus, in fact, it looks like it might just be heavy refresh. Dag." Clearly, that's a fictional scenario. Gropius is as dead as Bela Lugosi and Murphy suggests that there won't be any further Bauhaus reunions.

The new FIAT 500 has won the EuroCarBody 2007 award, the world's most prestigious prize for car bodies. The ninth edition of the Forum organised by Automotive Circle International was held in Bad Nauheim/Frankfurt from 16 to 18 October, attended by 600 experts in the development of the design, materials, processes and manufacture of car bodies. The EuroCarBody 2007 award highlights the mixture of "creativity and skill" that is necessary to develop an innovative, winning bodyshell.
