With a radio control installed you will have full control of windlass operation wherever you are on board. The control consists of a transmitter and a receiver. With the Autodrop™ function your windlass feels like a free fall windlass but with full control. The windlass will run automatically for 40 seconds ( approx 25m / 80ft ) before stopping. To enable the Autodrop™ just press the DOWN button on your transmitter. To stop the Autodrop™ at any time, press DOWN once on the receiver.
 This universal unit can be used on any brand windlass or accessories.

Standard with 4 channel output, operate your windlass and bow thruster or trim drives/motors up and down all by remote. The extra channels can be used for various applications.

Paolo Pininfarina elected Chairman at Pininfarina SpA

Paolo Pininfarina has been unanimously elected to become Chairman of the Board of Directors at Pininfarina S.p.A., one of the roles previously occupied by his late brother Andrea Pininfarina. The Board of Directors agreed to assign authority over the Group's design operations and Pininfarina Extra to Paolo Pininfarina and also elected to hand over the Group's communications to his sister Lorenza Pininfarina, the Provisional Deputy Chairperson. There has been much speculation about the company's future following the untimely death of CEO Andrea Pininfarina in a traffic accident last week.

General Motors combines smartphone functions with the Chevrolet Volt

General Motors is bringing together two of the hottest areas of technology--smartphones and plug-in electric cars. GM's OnStar telematics unit has developed a downloadable application that will let Chevrolet Volt drivers use a Blackberry Storm, Apple iPhone or Motorola Droid to remotely control and monitor some vehicle functions, such as charging. The Volt is slated to go into production late this year and arrive in California utility company fleets by early 2011.
