Flying A Garage makes a hard landing

It was one of the greatest rod, custom, drag-racing and classic-car collections ever assembled and it soon will make one of the greatest auctions. America's Car Collection, housed at the Flying A Garage in Winnemucca, Nev., had cars by Ed Roth, the Alexander Brothers and Harry Bradley, along with memorabilia from Von Dutch and Roth. There even is a Mickey Thompson mini bike, fer goodness sake.

The Volkswagen Golf R has launched at Frankfurt Update 31/10/09: VW Golf R UK Detail now released. We reported yesterday on much of the detail on the new Golf R, but the Golf is such a big deal for so many that we thought we ought to re-iterate, throw in a few pictures of the Golf R on the floor at Frankfurt and re-cap on the goodies on offer. Famous drivers complete amazing driving stunt

A QUARTET of the world's most skilful drivers has stunned the car world with an incredible stunt on a pitch black racetrack edged by lights. Internet driving sensation Ken Block joined racing drivers Mike Rockenfeller, Augusto Farfus and Adrian Zaugg to lay on a sensational four-car stunt relay called Blackout. Within the four-stage indoor course, the drivers had to face a major obstacle in each: the Laser Tunnel, Laser Drift, Slalom and Laser Box.
