Audi A1 e-tron detail – it’s a Wankel-Electric
Tue, 02 Mar 2010The latest Audi e-tron - the Audi A1 e-tron Early yesterday we reported that Audi were to bring the third iteration of their e-tron concepts to the Geneva Motor Show – the Audi A1 e-tron. Which makes a lot more sense than trying to make an electric car in to some sort of niche electric supercar, which seemed to be Audi’s aim with the R8 e-tron and the R4 e-tron. Small, urban cars are the only really practical place for an electric car to flourish, and the Audi A1 is a very sensible place to be with the e-tron project.

Tue, 22 Nov 2011These are the first official shots of the Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet, which goes on sale in March 2012. The convertible top still looks as if it was made of soft fabric, but it actually consists of three semi-rigid lightweight panels coated with a novel furry material, which conceals the cutlines. A fabric top layer finishes things off, and is claimed to be very soundproof, while the rear glass screen is heated and scratchproof. So the new Porsche 911 Cabriolet is a bit of a porker?
BMW debuts social-media campaign for concepts
Tue, 20 Dec 2011BMW launched its next marketing campaign for the BMW i3 and i8, aimed at the tech consumer. The campaign runs on location-service Foursquare, social-news round-up site Mashable and iAd, Apple's mobile-advertising network. The iAd campaign will run in Europe on iPhones, iPods and iPads.
