WORKING Vintage Volvo AM Radio
Model 1071 This unit has been testing as WORKING. I connected it to an old speaker and powered it with a 12V power supply. With a piece of wire as an antenna I was able to tune in local sports talk radio. Exterior could use some cleaning, but is all intact. Nothing appears to be broken or missing. Preset buttons work. Dials are smooth. The red light in the top center of the dial is also working. I took the cover off to check the interior and found it is remarkably clean for the age of the unit. Hardly even dusty in there. Everything looks physically very good internally. I have seen some people refer to this model as being made by Blaupunkt. There is no sticker confirming that on this particular radio and I am not familiar enough to know if Volvo used more than one mfgr for these. |
