WWII Era C3 Aircraft Hand Microphone
This is an unused bakelite microphone used by crew on WWII military aircraft. It is in good condition without damage to the microphone itself and the connector is in place. The microphone is marked MICROPHONE, HAND C3. It is not tagged and I have no way to test it and it is being listed AS IS. Thank you for looking and please see our many other aviation auctions. Mon, 16 Dec 2013AS Bentley gears up for a fulltime return to the racetrack, the weekend saw the Crewe-based luxury car maker score a solid fourth place overall at the Gulf 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi. Approached as a dress rehearsal ahead of the team’s attack on the 2014 Blancpain Endurance Series, the three driver-strong outfit achieved a creditable third and fourth place finishes in the two six-hour races at the Yas Marina circuit. The race programme – the first factory-backed activity since its 2003 Le Mans win – sees the firm use a Continental GT producing 600 horsepower in competition trim.
BMW Concept X5 eDrive: Driving impressions
Wed, 16 Apr 2014We got a chance to sample the BMW Concept X5 eDrive, a plug-in hybrid version of the BMW X5 luxury SUV, ahead of its appearance at BMW's New York auto show press conference. While comprehensive driving impressions will have to wait for a longer test, we were able to get some quick impressions of the new BMW hybrid at the company's New Jersey headquarters. The X5 eDrive made short work of the hills and curves around BMW's campus, with all mechanical systems working pretty seamlessly.
