I have one set left as of 11/27

Here's a Brooklands type windscreen base or escutcheon. This is used with the various windscreens that are offered by vendors. I sold these for many years as part of a "clubman kit" that featured other alloy pieces to streamline the 120's and 40's for racing. This will mount down through the demister slot on the cowl, so no holes are drilled. I've used a set of "threaded hooks", with knurled nuts that passed into these slots for a very clean installation. This is shown in place on the 120 SE in the pictures here, neither of which is included in this auction. This escutcheon is nicely made from .063 aluminum sheet, and you have your choice of left or right side. You'll need to fabricate a set of pivots from aluminum plate, with dimensions based on the screens you source. The vendor screens depending on where they are made vary in width, but this escutcheon will accomodate the variety I've encountered. A finished set of these windscreens is a couple thousand dollars last time I checked... Be sure and check out the other associated items I have listed for this set-up! Careful free packing with shipping at actual cost...

Three-cylinder Ford Focus is pushed to show off performance potential

Tue, 05 Jun 2012

Ford has plans to bring a three-cylinder EcoBoost engine to its U.S. lineup in a bit more than a year from now, likely in the Fiesta. But for a car-buying population that thrives on horsepower and 0-to-60-mph times, it might be hard to get excited by a 1.0-liter three-banger.

Anxious parents back tougher learner driver rules

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

PARENTS of young people are anxious about their offspring driving - with nearly three quarters in favour of probationary licences being given to new drivers. In a survey conducted ahead of the Government Green Paper on improving young drivers' safety, 82% of those questioned said the thought of their child driving on British roads made them feel anxious. A total of 60% said that was because of their lack of experience.
