GM XM SATELLITE RECEIVER THEFTLOCK RESET AND TESTING SERVICE

Auction is for GM XM Digital Radio Receiver (DRR) Theftlock reset service.  If you are reading this, you likely have "XM Locked", "XM Theftlock", or "XM Theftlocked" displayed on your factory GM radio or navigation system.  Or, perhaps you are considering installation of a surplus or salvage XM receiver module in your vehicle (from ebay, junk yard, etc), and know that it will not work unless it is unlocked.  Simply send us your receiver module and we will send it back unlocked and ready to work in your vehicle.  Great approach to add factory XM satellite radio to your original OEM GM vehicle sound system.

  • Unlock any compatible XM receiver module for use in your vehicle
  • No need to spend $'s for an overpriced new XM receiver module, use a much lower cost surplus or salvage unit from a similar vehicle
  • Add OEM XM satellite radio to your GM factory 'XM ready' radio or navigation system
  • Great service for do-it-yourselfers, avoid the dealer hassle

GM dealers are unable to provide this unlock service - the XM satellite Digital Radio Receiver module cannot be unlocked using a Tech 2 tool or SPS TIS programming software.  However, this does not mean that the Theftlock cannot be reset on the XM receiver module.  We are able to perform this reprogramming for you, and it does not require opening up the unit.

In addition to unlocking, we will also fully test your XM receiver module - checking for any past fault codes that would indicate any intermittent problems.  A detailed report is provided with the returned unit.

XM unit will be fully tested for...

  • Proper current consumption
  • Audio output
  • Satellite antenna input signal strength
  • Fault codes checked (DTCs)
NOTE:  We don't perform module repairs, but we will note any issues - should you wish to address them with the original provider of the unit.

Unlock service provided for all OEM factory Digital Radio Receiver modules made for GM by Delphi.  To confirm, please check the photos and info below (your unit or radio may look slightly different).

Don't see your specific XM receiver part number listed above?  Don't worry, that is only a partial list of supported modules.  Though, please contact us with your specific vehicle and XM module part number to ensure compatibility prior to bidding.

Simply send us your locked module via a shipping method of your choosing - tracking and insurance preferred.  Upon receipt of the unit, the module will be thoroughly tested (as detailed above) and unlocked.  Unit will then be promptly shipped back via UPS ground (included in auction price), or please inquire about expedited shipping if you require the unit sooner.

Also looking to change out your OEM factory radio to a GM premium or navigation unit?  Please check our other listings for GM radio unlocking and testing.  We'll be happy to combine shipping on both a radio reset and XM reset.

Please feel free to contact us with any technical questions about adding XM satellite radio to your vehicle.  In most cases the XM upgrade simply requires installation of the Digital Radio Receiver (DRR) module and satellite radio antenna.  Of course, you also need to add the 8 digit XM Radio ID code (displayed on XM Channel 0) to a new or existing XM Radio subscription.  But, you may need to do some additional steps depending on your vehicle build - we are happy to advise.

Thanks for bidding!

NOTE:  Radio and module photos are for information only.  No radios or modules are included - auction is for XM digital receiver module Theftlock reset and testing service.

Additional Note:  Are you a salvage yard and have several modules which you would like tested and unlocked?  Please feel free to contact us regarding volume pricing inquires.
