HULL HUGR™ XL Contour Fender

Traditional round fenders tend to roll up from contact with docks, leaving your boat unprotected. They’re also bulky to stow. Boats with step-down gunwales are especially vulnerable to damage from docks. HULL HUGR Contour Fenders stay put and stow conveniently under boat seats. They hinge to wrap around the gunwale and hull, following the contours of the boat. All HULL HUGR's are constructed with a tough marine grade rip proof tri-laminate cover, with closed cell foam inside. Durable polycarbonate grommets at each end allow you to hang them from cleats.

Audi win at Le Mans – again

Sun, 17 Jun 2012

Audi has not only won at the 2012 Le Mans 24 Hour, but they’ve taken 2nd, 3rd and 5th places too in the diesel hybrid R18 e-Tron. It’s a huge achievement to win at Le Mans, so hats off – yet again - to the incredible Audi team with another stunning win at Le Mans – the 11th time in the last thirteen years - and for their 2nd, 3rd and 5th place too. The winning Audi R18 e-Tron was the first hybrid car to win at Le Mans and was brilliantly driven by Marcel Fässler (Swiss), André Lotterer (German) and Benoît Tréluyer (French).

Saab 9-3: is this the new 2013 hatch?

Tue, 01 Nov 2011

Is this the new Saab 9-3? Contained in Saab's business plan submitted to the Swedish National Debt Office was this grainy image of what purports to be the new 2013 9-3. If it is indeed a model of the finished 9-3, then it shows that the 2011 Phoenix concept car was influential in guiding what should become Saab's best-seller.

Think City EV Cup Edition (2010) first official pictures

Wed, 30 Jun 2010

Manufacturers have been trying to make their racers more economical for some time now; Audi and Peugeot have produced diesel Le Mans winners and CAR reviewed the Porsche GT3 R Hybrid in the June 2010 issue, but this the most recent fully electric offering from Norwegian company Think.   Think has followed the traditional road-racer conversion for this one-off prototype, by stripping out most of the interior and space for the passenger, using Perspex instead of glass in the windows, installing a solitary lightweight bucket seat and lowering the centre of gravity. The company claims the diet reduces the Think's weight by nearly 70kg; that's the same saving as a Lamborghini Gallardo Superlegerra, remember.
