Changes at Nissan Design

Nissan yesterday announced a series of changes within its higher-level design structure - with VPs responsible for design in Europe and America effectively swapping roles. Alfonso Albaisa, who became VP of Design at Nissan Design Europe's London-based studio in 2007, will be going back to Nissan Design America's San Diego studio as VP of Design. It marks a return to the West Coast for Albaisa, who originally joined Nissan in 1988.

Ralph Lauren's car collection does Paris

Spring has sprung across much of the country, meaning heavy flannels now give way to white polo shirts--many of which will be crested with the familiar emblem of Ralph Lauren on the front. In that vein, Lauren's fabled car collection is taking center stage at a Paris art museum, and the exhibit will run through Aug.

Coda to price electric compact sedan at $44,900

Coda Automotive Inc. will begin delivering the first of its electric compact sedans in December priced at $44,900 before federal and state incentives. With federal incentives, the starting price will be $37,400, and with California state incentives, the price could be as low as $32,400.
