Jaguar X-Type: 18,000 X-Types recalled in the UK
Sun, 23 Oct 2011Jaguar X-Type Recall - almost 18k affected over possible cruise control malfunction The Jaguar X-Type, ‘Ford’ Jaguar’s stab at mopping up sales from BMW’s 3 Series and Mercedes’ C Class, is back in the headlines, with Jaguar issuing a recall for 18,000 X-Types in the UK – around 5 per cent of the total X-Type production. The cars affected are diesel-engined X-Type models made between 2006 and the end of X-Type production in late 2009, and the recall concerns the cruise control, which may not respond under certain circumstances. To be fair to Jaguar, the issue with the cruise control failing to respond has not come to light through any complaints from owners, but from an employee of Jaguar.
Celebrating Mitsubishi...mostly the Evo
Mon, 14 Jul 2014Is Mitsubishi going to come back better than ever or has it overevved its corporate four-banger and sent a rod through its corporate head? Depends how you look at it. If you made your judgment solely by spending last Saturday at the Mitsubishi Owner's Day at company headquarters in Southern California, you'd think this carmaker was the greatest thing since overhead valves and forced induction.
Peugeot 4007 GT HDi 156 Review & Road Test
Sun, 28 Mar 2010We review Peugeot's take on the Mitusbishi Outlander - the Peugeot 4007 The phone rang quite early this morning “Sorry, Vince, but I need you to do a review on a car – starting this morning. We’re pushed out and Claire’s taking it for the weekend, so it has to be at least today and tomorrow – and probably Monday as well”. To be honest I didn’t mind.
