For sale is an original 1932 Chrysler Plymouth model PB inline four cylinder engine. This was the first year that Plymouth's had a balanced crankshaft, and the second year of the "floating power" engine mounting system, resulting in an incredibly smooth running engine. From everything that I can see, after inspecting the engine. It appears to be a good engine, that with little effort, and a few accessories, would roar down the road once again! The pistons are all free, and the cylinder walls all look really good. The valves are all free, and move as they should when the engine is turned over by hand. The head is in amazing condition. The exhaust manifold has been repaired. The rear freeze plug is partly dislodged, and the drivers front side of the water jacket has a crack from a coolant freeze of years ago. The coolant systems in these engines run at under 5Lbs of pressure, so the crack could be welded, brazed, or even JB welded to solve that minor flaw in an otherwise wonderful engine. The flywheel is great. The water pump looks to be in very good condition, Nice oil pan. If you have any questions, just ask. If it does not sell, I'll repair the cracked water jacket, and keep it as a back up for my roadster. Block number PB73514. It has never been bored, or sleeved. Has had one piston replaced at some point in it's history. This engine will be for pick up only (by you, or your freight carrier.
