“Here's a very nice original used right (passenger) side fender front extension, that I believe was originally off a 1970 Dart. It has a Mopar part # moulded into the back side of 2998024. No cracks, accident damages, or repair work that I can see. This is the fiberglass style, not the later heavy-weight potmetal style. These have the deeper set in, if you are looking to put the chrome moulding on the front of these. The attaching studs are not with these, as these must of backed off out of the fiberglass and never re-installed. Easy enough to get some other studs like these used and re-install them in , or perhaps take them out of your old ones on your car's fiberglass extensions and install on these. There is one small hole on the side where a moulding clip went. If you don't have this moulding on the side of yours, just fill the hole and it will be fine.”

Up for your auction bids is this very good condition original used 1970-72  Mopar A-body Dart / Demon front right (passenger) side fender extension.  This is a fiberglass piece,  as opposed to the pot metal style they also put on these cars later.  This extension has Mopar part # of 2998024 molded onto the back side. Please note this is the deeper-style drop down in front edge, if you are putting on the chrome potmetal moulding  on the front of this  (Note this would look to have not had any pot metal moulding on the front of it ever). 

Featured right side fender extension is a very good original used piece, with no damages, alterations, or repairs that I can see.  Not cracked, badly chipped, or rotted.  The screw-in attaching studs on the back side must have backed themselves out when these got removed from a car (and I do not have any at this time), but hopefully you could use your old ones or some other ones I have seen listed on eBay and other places.  There is one small hole on the side of this extension where a side moulding clip attached.  If you have that molding just reuse this hole,  but if not, just fill it and prime / paint over it and it should look great.

Don't miss this hard to find extension here. Not many of this style out there any more at this reasonable of an opening bid price.   Thanks for stopping in to look and bid!

Lada launches new design competition

Lada and Russian social network community VKontakte have announced a competition calling for amateur designers to express their visions for future Lada models. Designs can be submitted as hand-drawn sketches or created using computer programs, and there's no limit on style, class or models. The only condition is the design has to have the brand's logo on the grille.

McLaren Special Operations - your McLaren, your way We reported last week that McLaren had taken a customised MP4-12C to Pebble Beach and that it heralded the start of ‘McLaren Exclusive’ to customise customer cars. We were close, but its actually McLaren Special Operations -  and not McLaren Exclusive –  that’s doing the customising. But the principle is the same; McLaren will do pretty much anything you want done to your McLaren – as they always have – but with the McLaren Road Car division growing all the time it will all now come under the banner of the new  McLaren Special Operations division.
