Up for auction is this Volume 11 no. 2 1972 Automobile Quarterly. It teatures a brief history of Triumph, the "new" 1972 Pontiac Grand Am "Get one quick before they change it", the Messerchmitt KR "mirco bubble car", Aalfa Romero 2900, the ALCO "American Locomotive Co. cars and racers and a feature on the Packard Dietrich. The book inside is in good condition, there are some reflections in odd locations which made it hard to photo. The cover, however, has one corner on the top taped and the back cover has a wrinkle in the green cloth. The rear cover also is embossed with the ALCO logo.

The 2012 – and 19th annual – Autoweek Automotive Design Forum on Thursday 12 January was held at the College for Creative Studies' A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education in Detroit. The event takes place each year during the North American International Auto Show, when designers from around the automotive world converge on the Midwestern city to showcase their work, benchmark the offerings of competitors, and reacquaint themselves with former classmates and coworkers in the industry.

This is the new Porsche 911 GT3, a hardcore version of Stuttgart's 50-year old iconic sports car. It's just been unveiled on the eve of the 2013 Geneva motor show. To some it’s yet another 911 variant, but to many more this track-focused GT3 is the most anticipated Porsche of 2013, new 911 Turbo and 918 Spyder included.

Who's Where: Satoshi Wada to open independent design studio

Satoshi Wada, former Senior Designer at Audi AG and Nissan Design Japan, is set to open his own design studio. Called SWdesign TOKYO, his ambitious plan follows on from a growing line of design managers who have left successful OEMs to establish their own design practices. Wada, who resigned from Audi AG in Ingolstadt earlier this month, told CDN he is aiming "to create a new vision with my own independent design studio in Tokyo".
