Up for bid here is the 1977 Vintage Book titled "Motor Truck Repair Manual." This is the First Printing of the 30th Edition. The editor was Louis Forier. This is a big book measuring 9 inches by 10-7/8 inches with 1472 pages in it. It is for the repair of pickups, motor homes, campers, utility trucks, vans, school buses, delivery trucks, dump trucks, tractors and long haulers." As for condition, it remains very solid and in good condition. The previous owner wrote his name inside and there are a few smudges from use but this is a pretty clean book full of good repair information.There's even a little yellow paper service sign stuck inside that I'll leave along with another yellow paper. Goodwood Revival 2011
Tue, 27 Sep 2011The middle week of September was a crowded one for the CDN team with coverage of the Frankfurt motor show but we still found time to get our period tweeds out and head down to Sussex to cover the Revival weekend. This historic motor racing festival runs over three days, with Friday set aside for qualifying and practice, and races on Saturday and Sunday, with aggregated times to decide the final winner. Special themes this year included 50 years of the E-Type and this years' Fordwater Trophy grid was composed exclusively of this classic front-engined GT, including Lightweight and Low Drag versions that took on the Ferraris and Cobras of the period.
Car Design China Award Winners at Umeå
Thu, 08 Nov 2012CDN 中国汽车设计大赛获奖选手在 Umeå Two of the Car Design China Award 2012 winners won the fantastic prize of a two-week fully funded placement at Sweden's Umeå Institute of Design to mix with like-minded young designers and learn new skills with some of the latest technology available. We spoke to Umeå's Programme Director for Transportation Design Education Demian Horst to find out how Fang Siyuan of Zhengzhou University of Light Industry and Huang Hongliang of Huazhong University of Science and Technology got on. After arriving on 21 September the two students joined up with the course's 20 international students – including two Chinese students – in the studio before undertaking their first task, which was to join both transport classes in a sketch workshop with BMWDesignworksUSA designer and Umeå alumnus Tommy Forsgren.
