1978 Suzuki Ds 185 on 2040-parts.com

Bike started life as a '78 DS 185. I have owned this bike for 7 years and it's awesome! It has been stripped of all unnecessary stuff and converted into a Hare Scramble racer. Sort of a poor man's RM with less suspension. Runs unbelievably strong for a 183cc 2-stroke and will easily keep up with my brother's XR500 in the woods. Engine is noisy at times, but it has been that way since I bought it in 2006. It shoes no signs of giving up. BRAND New Dirt Shark front tire, rear is a Michelin S12 that's 6 years old. Newer chain and sprockets (11 front/ 39 rear) with very little time on them. New K&N air filter. Has been rejetted to compensate for the lack.of muffler baffle and increased airflow. Rear shocks are from a Yamaha DT 360. New clutch cable, number plates, NOS rear fender. NOS front fender for a '79 RM 250. Seat is very nice and comfy. Tank has a few dents and some rust inside. Brand new gas cap. Too much to mention. Incluses spare gas tank, air box, and 2 shop manuals. Overall it's a cheap, fast, fun, light bike. Bike has a lot of little quirks and flaws, but it's 35 years old and it's been ridden hard for most of those years and it's still tickin'! If you have any questions, please ask me.
