Infiniti 'could build a GT-R performance car' - Ghosn

Infiniti could develop its own version of Nissan's ballistic GT-R sports car, chief executive Carlos Ghosn has revealed to CAR. In a four-page interview in the new August 2011 issue of CAR Magazine, the CEO told us about his plans for Infinitis, Nissans, Renaults and more. Mitsubishi considers a Lancer Evo hybrid

Mitsubishi is working on a green overhaul of its turbocharged all-wheel-drive Lancer Evolution so the gas-guzzling sedan won't go extinct. The new vision for the performance car is an gasoline-electric hybrid with in-wheel motors, Mitsubishi Motors Corp. President Osamu Masuko says.

Ford Focus, Fiesta racers (2011): global motorsport

The new One Ford mantra is spreading to the race track - as the Blue Oval sends its motorsport division global too.  Announced at the 2010 SEMA show, the Fiesta R2 rally car will now be available in North America for the first time. And the all-new Ford Focus touring car (pictured) will race globally - it's anticipated to be in the 2011 British Touring Car Championship. Ford plans to coordinate and support private race teams around the world and is promising to help teams adapt the car to worldwide touring car categories.
