Integrated Trailer Brake Control Module allows driver to automatically or manually activate the electronic brakes on properly equipped trailers for greater stopping power on downhill grades. The controller and status display are mounted in the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel, and the included control lever can activate the trailer brakes independent of the truck`s brakes. Drivers can customize the amount of brake force the trailer uses, depending on load requirements.

Disclosure(s) :Before ordering the Mopar Integrated Trailer Brake Module (ITBM) kit, it is necessary to check if the vehicle has both trailer brake module connectors. These connectors are located under left side of the steering column. Both connecters are 4 pin connectors. If both connecters are not present the ITBM kit cannot be added to the vehicle.

General Motors's top executive in charge of developing batteries for the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid is leaving to take a position with an unnamed startup battery company in California. Denise Gray, 46, global director of rechargeable energy storage systems, will step down March 5 after more than three years in the post. This was “an opportunity that I could just not resist,” Gray said in a phone interview.

The winners of the CDN–GM Interactive Design Competition have been announced at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. Following a guided tour of the auto show with the GM design team, the finalists gathered on the GMC stand in Cobo Hall where Mark Adams and Ken Parkinson – heads of design for Cadillac & Buick, and Chevrolet & GMC respectively – were joined by Car Design News' Editor Owen Ready to present the winners of each brand's competition brief. Joining them on stage were the mentors from GM's design teams who interacted with the entrants throughout the competition to critique and help develop their work, making this a truly unique contest.

Mercedes CLC to debut as Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe? It looks like the new Mercedes CLC – a mini CLS based on the new A Class – will debut at a film and food festival in LA as the Concept Style Coupe. We know that a mini CLS based on the new Mercedes A Class is planned, and we know it’s likely to be the Mercedes CLC (or any number of other potential monikers including CLA and BLS) and will probably even spawn a CLC Shooting Brake version too.
