2014 GMC Sierra Denali gets more bling, luxury, tech

The 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks -- revealed at the Detroit auto show -- will be two of the GM's biggest sellers this spring. Camaro engineers on Thursday offered media members a preview of the upcoming Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 fighter, and the tale of the tape is impressive, especially in terms of grunt. The 6.2-liter supercharged LSA V8 will make 580 hp at 6,000 rpm and 556 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm, besting Chevy's original targets for the engine's output and bettering its efficiency in the Cadillac CTS-V by 24 hp and 5 lb-ft.

Jaguar C-X17 Concept bringing SUV preview and new platform to Frankfurt

The Jaguar C-X17 concept will preview one of the brand's upcoming pair of SUVs, as well as its new modular aluminum platform that will underpin its next generation of cars. The teaser picture accompanying the press release doesn't give a huge amount away in terms of aesthetics, but familiar Jag elements such as the fender haunches and F-Type-style rear lamps suggest this will be instantly recognizable as a Jaguar. Its emphasis will be more on road performance than off-road ability in order to ensure it drives as a Jaguar should and also to avoid stepping on the toes of sister company, Land Rover.
