Nice used manifold except for a chip out of the left forward coil mounting bracket hole. Cast date D 13 5 (April 13, 1965). Dual plane, spread bore intake. Later design of this manifold for spread bore Carter AFB carburetors with a boss cast and tapped for upper alternator bracket. Includes OEM short style oil fill tube w/carburetor return spring tab/hook intact. All threads except pipe threads cleaned and tapped and no issues found, see picture details. Heat shield intact with no significant damage. Should be de-greased/hot-tanked prior to placing back in service. Correct manifold for all 1965 327 cu. in. 300 HP engines. Call for complete smoking ban in cars

A COMPLETE BAN on smoking in cars should be introduced by law. That is the finding of a study of driver attitudes, where 71% said the Government should go further than it presently does to people smoking in cars. Of 7500 people polled, the study found 71% also believe smoking in cars should be made a criminal offence if children are in the car at the same time.

His unconventional practices – employed at a time when design was still largely segregated from other departments during the development process – yielded many avantgarde and contentious designs, but Bangle's fundamental understanding of the design process, creative vision and desire for change can never be cast in doubt. While Bangle shares his views on the future of the car in the video to the right, the video to the left provides an insight into the former BMW design chief's thought processes and gives us a glimpse into his home and studio in the Piedmont region of northern Italy.

CDN announces judging panel for Car Design Awards 2010

In line with the competition's aims, the judging panel comprises both Western and Chinese design chiefs, who will be awarding prizes to student entrants which include placements at an international design school. Chairing the panel for the Car Design Awards China 2010 competition will be Peter Stevens, the designer behind the McLaren F1 road car, Lotus Elan and Subaru Impreza P1 among others, and a visiting Professor of Vehicle Design at London's Royal College of Art.
