Honda CR-Z – production ready at Detroit
Tue, 12 Jan 2010Honda has revealed the production-ready CR-Z at the Detroit Motor Show Honda are very keen to catch up with Toyota in the hybrid car wars. The Honda Insight was their answer to the Prius (although better looking it was even more woeful to drive than the Prius) and Honda are now looking to move in to the ‘Sporty’ Hybrid market with the Honda CR-Z. Honda revealed the CR-Z back in October at the Tokyo Motor Show, and did the usual new model think of labeling it as a concept.
BMW takes the Active Tourer Outdoor outdoors this weekend
Thu, 11 Jul 2013This weekend BMW will be taking its BMW Concept Active Tourer Outdoor to the annual OutDoor fair in Friedrichshafen, Germany. We first saw the concept last September, noting that it was a departure for BMW in more ways than one -- with the German automaker stretching itself into segments in which it previously had no foothold. The BMW Active Tourer is meant to preview a whole new generation of small cars from BMW, but one of the biggest changes underneath is a transverse layout of the engine -- a setup that BMW has traditionally shunned in favor of a longitudinal layout.
Scuola Polytecnica di Design Milan announces new Masters in Transportation Design
Fri, 30 Jul 2004Jul 30, 2004 - Milan's Scuola Politecnica di Design has announced the new edition of the Masters course in Transportation Design, which will be held in partnership with Lamborghini. The Masters Course, starting in October 2004, will be coordinated by Marco Bonetto with the support of Walter De' Silva, Design Director Audi-Seat-Lamborghini and Luc Donckerwolke, Chief Designer Lamborghini. As part of the 2004-2005 edition of the Masters course, students from all over the world will take part in the development of a new concept car for the prestigious Italian car maker, which is now part of the Audi Volkswagen Group.
