A very nice 2002 400ex frame. Clean clear number.
-Same frame for the 99-04 models. -My original plan was to install a trx OR cr 250r motor in it and race it. -Sitting around the shop for 4 years I've lost interest. -Lightly ridden, only a couple very minor flaws as seen in the following pics. -As you can see in pics 5-6 that the bottom of the frame has light wear compared to many of this age. -Has minor rust in various spots thru out the frame. Never been repaired or welded. -No cracks or structural bends. -As you see in pics 7-8 the oil cooler mount bracket is slightly bent. -Pic 9 shows a small bracket missing. I think that it was for hanging an electrical plug in. -The steering stem bearing feel okay, but I would recommend replacing it as a precautionary.
