Nice USED Appleton Series 146 Fog or Driving light assembly / Lite Bucket with yellow / amber len - bought this at a recent auction to sell here on e-bay - have lots of Model A Headlights and Fog Lights and related items, will be listing most here over the next few weeks. This is a SS bucket which is pitted and has surface rust as you see in the pictures, but the bucket seems to be really nice - not all dented or rusted thru. Still has the mounting bolt attached and a wire showing thru.
Manufacturer Part Number:Series 146 Warranty:No Placement on Vehicle:Left, Right, Front Part Brand:Appleton

Up for Auction is a Good, USED (I think - I don't know for sure) Appleton Amber or Yellow Fog or Driving Lights Assembly. Still has the mounting bolt for the assembly attached along with a wire hanging out of the lower area of the assembly near the mounting bolt. Amber glass lens (I think) and reflector too - both look good to me - not cracked or chipped that I can see, but I have not taken this unit apart. This headlight bucket is in good shape - not all dented and rusted thru. The chrome has chipped off in areas and there is surface rust all over the rear "bullet" of the assembly, but the trim ring for holding the lens in place looks good. May need some cleaning & polishing to use "as is" on your rat rod, or have the chrome pieces re-chromed. I believe these light buckets were used on Ford Model A cars and light trucks in the late 20' and / or early 1930's - or - on various cars and trucks in the 1930's, 1940's and 1950's . Please look at the pics and you decide if this will work for you - I don't see any dents, but I may have missed some smaller dings - but I don't think so - this looks good to me - a great start for your rad rod or classic, especially nice considering how old this is. I don't need this, thought I would, but I don't, just taking-up space in the garage - had planned to use this on a project, went another way. No need to have these sitting on my shelf, collecting dust. Please look at this and be sure this will work on your application or project. This is USED - I believe, I would not consider this to be show quality (as is), but still very nice and could probably be made show quality. Please be sure these will work for your application before you bid.Imprinted on teh top of the bucket on this assembly is printed "Appleton", "Sema  Approved", and "Series 146" and the lens itself has "Made in USA" and "TOP" and a big "W" in the center and "FOG Light" on the lower middle of the lens - maybe a "Westinghouse" lens??

Took some quick measurements this evening, this light assembly is approximately 4-1/2" front to back, 6-1/2 side to side (overall) and approximately 5-1/8" of the lens is visible. Hope this helps you match this assembly with your existing assembly.

Thanks for Looking.

Mercedes AMG GT S hits the track in new HD video

Sat, 13 Sep 2014

The new Mercedes AMG GT S on track at Circuit of Americas The Mercedes AMG GT is the long-awaited replacement in the Mercedes range for the SLS AMG, but even though the new AMG GT (and GT S) offers performance almost the equivalent of the SLS, it’s price tag is a lot lower. In fact, at prices expected to start at around £100,000 – and an extra £10-15k for the GT S version – the new AMG GT is at least a third cheaper than the SLS, and aimed at cars like the Porsche 911 and Jaguar F-Type rather than the stratospheric supercars the SLS had in its sights. That also means Mercedes AMG are going to have to sell a chunk more GTs than they ever did SLS models, so you can expect more promos and more profile for the AMG GT than you’d ever have seen for the modest-run SLS – like the latest Mercedes has just released (below).

Video: Buick Invicta

Thu, 24 Apr 2008

General Motor's Buick brand is blossoming in China, so the automaker chose the largest Chinese Auto Show this year to unveil its latest concept: the Invicta. Unlike the Riviera concept shown in Shanghai last year, the Invicta is slated for production soon given the level of refinement we saw when we viewed the car in Beijing. And unlike some market-specific new cars unveiled at the show, the Invicta will make its way to other markets across the globe. Click on the image on the left to see a video of the development and the designers who worked on the Invicta concept car.

Zagato TZ3 Stradale pays tribute to Alfa Romeo with Dodge

Thu, 28 Apr 2011

Styling house Zagato's tribute to the 100th anniversary of Alfa Romeo began with the release of its one-off TZ3 Corsa in 2009 and will end with the unveiling of its version of theTZ3 Stradale this year. Less than a month after we learned that Zagato was working on its new TZ3 Stradale, the company has released the first photos and details of the car alongside its Corsa cousin. While the TZ3 Corsa was more of a track car, the TZ3 Stradale is an avant-garde tribute to the Alfa Romeo and Zagato's street-legal heritage.
