• Our BRISK Premium LGS spark plug utilizes a very unique, semi-surface discharge electrode design. By implementing this design, the spark plug is able to fire a much larger spark plug gap, because the spark glides along the surface of the insulator, requiring much less energy than firing a traditional style air gap. Longer spark discharge makes more contact with the A/F mixture, igniting more molecules in the A/F mixture over a larger area.

• Due to the large parallel surfaces between the electrodes, BRISK LGS spark plug gap has higher capacitance than a fine point electrode spark plug. The spark plug gap acts as a capacitor, accumulating more ignition energy prior to spark discharge. This is most beneficial in engine applications with larger factory OEM spark plug gap setting (.036” or more for automotive engines / .028” or more for motorcycle/power sport engines). BRISK LGS style spark plugs are also a great choice for naturally aspirated applications with powerful factory (OEM) and Aftermarket ignition systems (Accel, MSD, Crane, Mallory, etc.., or any CD (Capacitive Discharge) ignition systems).

• It is easier (takes less energy) for a spark to glide along the surface of the insulator than to break through the air gap. Brisk Premium Spark Plugs takes advantage of this feature in its design. Almost 2/3 of the spark travel between the spark plug electrodes is along the surface of the insulator. The length of the spark discharge is maximized with only a slight increase in the required supplied ignition energy. The higher voltage builds up at the center electrode before the spark occurs, resulting in the delivery of more spark energy into the engine combustion chamber.

Spark Plug Discharge At Richest Point In Mixture In 360 Degree Perimeter

• Since the air fuel mixture inside of the combustion chamber is not homogenous (has different concentration at different places), it is beneficial that the spark discharge is not confined to only one set place (like with a conventional spark plug), instead, the spark discharge can occur anywhere in 360 degree perimeter of the BRISK LGS spark plug tip. This allows the spark discharge to occur on the very tip of the spark plug at point with the most ideal air fuel composition (where the ionization of the molecules is most easily achieved). This special spark plug feature ensures that the spark occurs at the best possible place for ignition, unlike in a conventional spark plug design, where the spark always occurs in one confined place.

BRISK LGS spark plugs offer faster and better ignition of each ignition cycle, thus helping to improove fuel efficiency and fuel mileage.

Spark Plug Patented Firing Tip Design, No Indexing or Gapping Required

• There is no need for indexing BRISK LGS style spark plugs since the ground electrodes of this plug are arranged symmetrically. There is no ground electrode restricting the access of the air fuel mixture, as the spark occurs on the very end of the firing tip. The special ground electrodes are integrated as a part of the shell. The integrated electrodes provide a fixed gap setting (cannot be adjusted), good heat displacement, and high volumetric efficiency.

• The gap setting is available in two different configurations, our standard LGS and our LGS-T models. The LGS-T models are manufactured with a tighter gap setting, which makes this plug a viable option for applications that have increased compression and for lower boost pressure applications. Utilizing the tighter gap setting also helps increase the average lifespan of this style of spark plug.

Replacing the current Bluemotion model, the Mk2 Bluemotion is powered by a 110bhp 2.0-litre common rail diesel that’s been recalibrated with a lower idle rate and fitted with a switchable start/stop system to cut emissions and boost economy. When it arrives here in January, the Passat will post a combined economy figure of 57.6mpg and a CO2 rating of 128 g/km - useful savings compared to the outgoing 1.9-litre 105bhp BlueMotion model (55.4mpg and 136 g/km).

Subaru Advanced Tourer concept

The Advanced Tourer Concept appears to be an evolution of the 2009 Hybrid Tourer Concept. The gullwing festooned body of the previous concept has been dropped in favor of a five-door station wagon.

Gordon Murray city car to be built

It seems the Gordon Murray Design T25 and T27 city cars are heading for production and could be on sale as early as 2016. According to Gordon Murray himself, writing on the company’s website, the concept for both the T25 and T27 has now been sold to a customer. The i-Stream manufacturing process is also being taken on by a selection of clients, it seems.
