Corvette C6 6 Speed 6L80E Automatic Auto Transmission Fully Built for 800+HP 6CYA
This is a fully purpose built C6 Auto trans for a twin turbo car that ran consistent 9's and made over 800RWHP.  This trans was spec'd to handle 1000WHP,   Power was only set at 800WHP and the trans handled all that HP and Torque effortlessly.
This unit is ONE of TWO identical units built for the same race car.
The transmissions were both built with the same CENTURY TRANSMISSION 6L80E upgrade kit parts with no expenses spared by a Master GM Technician.  The kit used contains all the strongest internal parts including hardened extreme duty parts and friction material made to handle a lot of pressure and power.
The first unit (went into the car) performed flawlessly for hundreds of passes and never broke so this SECOND unit never needed to run.  Well over $5000 was spent on top of the cost of the transmission.  The car is sold now so this transmission is for sale with 0 miles and 0 passes.

If you want a fully built strong as possible 6L80E transmission for the C6, THIS IS IT!

If you have a Supercharged or Turbo C6 Corvette with an Automatic 6-speed and you want to punish hit without blowing the transmission, you need this Trans.

It's ready to bolt-in.  You want to call YANK for a nice high HP Torque Converter with the stall speed of your choice and you're set!

All the tuning parameters are easily done within HP Tuners.

I will also have a 2.56 C6 Rear differential to go on the same car with a QUAIFE LSD already installed and ready to go.  Check that one out separately.

Thank you!

Chevrolet to dealers: Let Cruze shoppers test-drive competitors

Tue, 31 Aug 2010

Chevrolet is asking its 3,000 dealers to prepare for the late September launch of the Chevrolet Cruze compact by purchasing competitors' vehicles for test-drive comparisons. Chevrolet is encouraging dealers to have a Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic on site so prospective 2011 Cruze buyers can immediately measure the car against its segment competitors, said Margaret Brooks, Chevrolet small-car marketing director. At a media event Tuesday in suburban Detroit, Brooks said Chevrolet expects buyers to come away with a favorable view of the Cruze.

Smart car tipping strikes San Francisco

Thu, 10 Apr 2014

The Smart ForTwo: brilliantly designed to be safe, compact transport for two people and easily manoeuvred around the city. Although perhaps a little too easily manoeuvred, if what happened to four of the little blighters in San Francisco earlier this week is anything to go by. That’s not a standard parking procedure: ‘Smart car tipping’ has suddenly become a thing.

College Exhibition: CCS - American Iron and Steel Institute Challenge 2004

Tue, 05 Oct 2004

Transportation Design students at Detroit's College for Creative Studies recently presented the results of a project sponsored by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). The unveiling of the students' concept vehicles is the finale of the 16th annual AISI/CCS Summer Internship Program that set the transportation design students the task of designing functional, innovative 'Hollywood-inspired' vehicles that integrate environmental responsibility, cost efficiency and innovative steel materials. "The AISI/CCS summer internship was created to inspire a new generation of automotive designers to develop alternative fuel vehicles, lightweight steel structures and a flexible platform base, all of which are real goals for today's automotive product developers," said Brian Aranha, vice president of commercial for Dofasco Inc.
