Wed, 17 Sep 2014The 2015 Honda Jazz prototype revealed ahead of Paris debut It may be a year before the 2015 Honda Jazz arrives as a production model, but Honda are previewing the arrival of the new Jazz with a 2015 model prototype at the Paris Motor Show next month. The first photos of the 2015 Jazz (above and below) show a car that looks familiar but which is much changed, including a growth spurt that adds 30mm ro the wheelbase (but only 15mm to the length). The new Jazz sits on Honda’s global compact platform – the same platform that underpins the Civic and the new HR-V – and keeps the central fuel tank with the benefits that offers of better interior room and practicality.
Public 'right behind' 20mph urban speed limits
Wed, 02 Apr 2014NEARLY 80% of people think 20mph speed limits should be the norm around schools, in residential streets and in village, town and city centres, according to a survey. More than four in five people think traffic travels too fast on local roads, the poll by road safety charity Brake and Allianz Insurance found. Of the 1,000 people surveyed, 78% backed the 20mph campaign run by Brake, with 72% saying roads in their town or village need to be made safer for walking.
Tesla touts top sales at Detroit auto show
Tue, 14 Jan 2014Tesla credits the "exceptional cold weather performance" of its Model S for 20 percent-higher-than-expected Q4 sales of 6,900 units, bringing total Model S sales worldwide to 25,000 so far. In fact, Tesla says its sedan does so well in the snow that the rear wheels are the only ones that need any torque. "This car performs outstandingly in winter conditions," said Tesla vp of vehicle engineering Chris Porritt in a video released the day of the Detroit Auto Show.
